Christmas Place Value Labels

Here is the first of several new Christmas themed mathsticks resources for 2011.

Place Value Labels is problem solving activity focused on strengthening children's understanding of place value. [No, it's not just a set of 'labels'].

The challenge is for the children to change written place value numbers, presented as Christmas gift tags, such as:

place value label activity

... into numerals: 1246

The pdf download includes a page focused on 3-digit numbers and one page for 4-digit numbers.
