Flash Card Bonds to 20

Teachers maths flash cards - number bonds to 20This is a simple flash card, flip-over maths resource. A double-sided card showing a mathsticks character and a number. The original Flash Card Number Bonds (to 10), have been so popular we decided to create this set to compliment those

As before, the flash cards can be used either as a demonstration or questioning resource; also children can use them to challenge each other.

The attached file is a high-quality, 3 page pdf depicting the bonds 0|20, 1|19, 2|18, 3|17... etc to 10|10. The cards a slightly smaller than the original set, but feature the same mathstick characters and the odd/even pattern is marked by the use of alternating blue/red text.

To make the resource:

  • print the file;
  • cut each page into vertical strips and then fold each strip horizontally to create the back-to-back image;
  • finally, laminate the cards.

We hope they are useful - let us know!

Hi There, Many thanks for allowing me to link to your fabulous site and your engaging Numeracy resources. I have shared my thoughts with several colleagues, advising them to take a look for themselves as I have found them brilliant. I think that the children love them as much as I do! Thank you so much for this

Thank you so much for this resource...What I really like about this resource is that, visually, it is appealing to older children. Most number bond resources have a general appearance geared towards engaging younger children, so for older children who are not secure with number bonds this should help immensely. Thank you.
