If you’ve not shaken hands with Google+ yet, I would strongly recommend you do.
It’s rapidly become the hottest social network on the block. In just a few months, Google+ has amassed over 40 million users… and why? Because it is a more mature version of Facebook; it offers more control, more choice and just feels a whole lot more sophisticated.
Originally, I didn’t give it much consideration, I thought it may well be another “Google Buzz“, but it looks like the ‘+‘ is here to stay.

However, Google+, isn’t the easiest thing to understand. It has a vast number of useful features, many of which might confuse people on first visit – yes, there’s a learning curve here… but think back to the first time you used Facebook; there was a learning curve there too – it’s just that that one’s faded in the mist of time. I my view, though, the Google+ learning curve will repay the effort far more than fb did.
One of the best Google+ features is Circles; a way in which you can separate your family, work colleagues, friends and followers. This way you can decide who sees which particular posts – what’s suitable for family and friends, may not be appropriate for work mates. Circles also offers a smart way to filter out the clutter from your ‘stream’ – meaning you can focus on what you want rather than being bombarded by a blizzard of ‘stuff’! See the short video below…
A quick overview of ’Circles’
I must admit, I am still getting to grips with Google+, so my profile is still limited (see what I mean), but I know it’s going to be valuable, and time well spent, to perfect my little Google world.
